‘In Quires and Places where they sing, here followeth the Anthem’ (BCP 1662). These words opened the way for a stream of creativity in words and music, enriching the worship of the Church of England from that day to this. In the wonderful setting of Exeter College Chapel, OPMS presents a concert celebration of some of the rich variety of this music, featuring anthems from Tallis, Stanford, and other noted composers of the genre, right the way through to modern-day composers.
